Philosophy & Ethics

Let’s Talk, Tarot – Your Voice, Your Story – was created because of the philosophy I’ve followed all my life. It’s a philosophy that’s seen me through hard times and happy times and it’s one that I’ll continue to follow, unwaveringly and with delight. It’s a simple one:

Be Curious

Apply curiosity to beginnings and endings and everything in between. Make it a practise and show up for it, no matter what. Let it take it through your life, spiritually, physically, mentally and fully. Hold off on your judgement about what it lights up for you and get out of your own way when it comes to ‘I can’t’.

You can. And the first step is being curious.

Curiosity allows me to meet everything that arrives, or is present in, my life with a deep and abiding commitment to live in a state of patient and observant noticing. To be deliberate about the choices I make and the thoughts I think. To be strongly involved in developing a unique intimacy with myself and my life. The power of curiosity grants me front row access to inner wisdom and shines a light so far forward there’s no fear of the dark. I recommend it. Let it walk alongside you for a bit and see where you go. Let it tell you what it thinks and listen to the reply. Let it sit in your soul and feel what that’s like.

Your Voice, Your Story. What’s not to be curious about?

‘This being human is a guest house.

Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, an expression, a meanness,

some momentary awareness comes

as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!

Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,

who violently sweep your house

empty of its furniture,

still, treat each guest honourably.

He may be clearing you out

for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice.

Meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.

Be grateful for whatever comes.

Because each has been sent

as a guide from beyond’

Tarot Practitioners and Life Coaches are not regulated. However, dedicated, relevant training and learning in these areas has resulted in membership with IPHM and ACCHP, as well as TABI. All these organisations uphold a Code of Conduct and Ethics to which I subscribe. Details of these can be found on their relevant websites.

On a personal note, I believe that Tarot is indeed the Mirror to the Soul and that this, combined with an intuitive and holistic base in life coaching, makes the underlying principles of Empower, Understand, Transform and Heal accessible.

My aim is to work with your curiosity and commitment, to enable you to discover the power you hold within, to support you to unlock that power and to guide you towards an understanding of the responsibility you can begin to own for yourself. Your Voice, Your Story.
